Andy Kindler on the state of comedy. I met Andy Kindler once, and I think offended him, when I told him how much I loved Dr. Katz, which had at that time been off the air probably close to a decade. I heard him muttering to his guests as he walked away, sounding slightly disgruntled, but was polite enough to my face. I don't think I'd ever seen Everybody Loves Raymond at the time, so how was I to know if he was still working?
