This heat is so draining, I don't know how I get the energy to do anything. I don't know why it seems so intense now, as opposed to other Summers, I guess its just after all the June Gloom we had, we just went straight into sweltering heat. I ran on the beach on Tuesday, and by the end I felt like I was going to die. Walking the last mile and a half or so back to my car was not fun. Today I went to a BBQ at Kelly's house, which was fun, I got to see her baby as he went in the pool for the first time; he did not enjoy it. I did have fun in the pool, I hadn't been swimming in awhile. I really need to get back into that, as a nice cross-training exercise, but now that its summer, the pool at the Kroc Center is more crowded. But I had fun, good food, and of course, my influence onto the day's proceedings, we ended up playing some cards. I won. But now I'm so tired and its only 9:15, and I can hear the fireworks, but can barely muster up the strenght to go outside.

Okay, I went outside. Pretty colors. And its cool out now. But I'm still exhausted. I intended to run tomorrow morning, make up for not running Thursday because I felt like I was going to pass out, but I have a feeling I might not make it.
