I found this old article confirming that the Cove will never again be a theater. I was going to go into downtown after work today to take a picture of what's left of the place, but I forgot about the construction they're doing on Ardath (or La Jolla Parkway, as they decided to rename it for some inexplicable reason), and ended up turning around; I'll check it out when I have a bit more time.
